The Nebraska Forest Service (NFS) is excited to announce the 2018 Forest Festival being held at Horning State Farm Demonstration Forest in Plattsmouth. This year’s event will celebrate Nebraska’s growers, producers, and artisans during national forest products week.
Vendors from around the area will be on hand showcasing and selling their locally-produced products. Plattsmouth-based business, The Hop Yard, will offer specialty cocktails and pints for purchase. For the forest enthusiast, there will also be two half-day workshops on managing high-quality timber for top value and how to grow your own hazelnuts for personal or commercial use. This event is free and open to the public. We hope you will join us as we continue to showcase Nebraska’s woodlands and the educational, financial, and recreational opportunities they offer
